How it works

You book directly with us. You don't need a referral, and you don't need to be registered with another dentist first.

All our fees are published, so you can see what something costs before you book. Your dentist explains your options, and you get a written, itemised plan and price before any work starts. The price you're quoted is the price you pay.

Your first visit

Starting with us

  1. Book online, or call us on 01205 337 000.
  2. Come in for a new patient exam, £25.
  3. Your dentist checks your teeth, gums and mouth and talks you through what they find.
  4. If you need treatment, you get a written plan with the price of each option.

Bring a list of any medicines you take, and tell us about any health conditions. If you're nervous, say so when you book and we'll go at your pace.

Prices

How our fees work

Every fee is a guide price on our pricing page. The final cost depends on what you need, and your dentist confirms it in writing before anything starts.

For some treatments you start with a consultation or assessment, such as an implant consultation (£60) or a gum assessment (£89). If you go ahead with treatment, the cost of that consultation comes off your treatment price. This doesn't apply to new patient exams, routine exams or emergency appointments.

X-rays aren't included in the exam price. A small X-ray is £9 and a large (OPG) X-ray is £35. We tell you why you need one, and the cost, before we take it.

Emergencies

If you're in pain

Call us on 01205 337 000. Our phone line is open 24/7, and we offer same-day emergency appointments for £25 every day of the year, weekends and bank holidays included. If swelling makes it hard to breathe, swallow or speak, call 999 or go to A&E.

How often

Staying on top of your teeth

The NHS says the gap between check-ups can be anywhere from 3 months to 2 years, depending on your teeth and gums. Children should be seen at least once a year. Your dentist will tell you what suits you.

Between visits, brush twice a day for about 2 minutes with fluoride toothpaste, spit rather than rinse, and clean between your teeth every day.
