Composite bonding.
Composite bonding fixes chips, small gaps and uneven edges with tooth-coloured material, shaped by hand onto your teeth. From £250 per tooth.
Key facts.
A quick way to improve your smile
Composite bonding uses a tooth-coloured material that your dentist shapes onto your teeth. It's a gentle way to make small changes, usually without drilling or injections.
What bonding can help with
- Chipped or broken edges
- Small gaps between teeth
- Teeth that are slightly short, uneven or worn
- Small marks or patches on the front of teeth
What happens
- We talk about what you'd like to change and check your teeth are healthy.
- We match the shade of the material to your teeth.
- Your dentist adds the material, layer by layer, and shapes it.
- A special light sets it hard.
- We polish it to a smooth, natural finish.
Looking after your bonding
- Brush and clean between your teeth as normal.
- Avoid biting hard things like nails, pens and ice.
- Cut down on tea, coffee and red wine, as bonding can stain over time.
- Keep up your hygiene visits to keep it polished.
Before you start
Bonding doesn't change colour with whitening. If you'd like whiter teeth too, whiten first and we'll match the bonding to your new shade. Bonding can chip or stain over time, but it can usually be repaired or polished.
What it costs
The total depends on how many teeth you'd like treated. You'll get a written price before we start. “From” prices start at that amount and depend on your treatment. Your dentist will give you a written plan and price before any work starts. See all our prices.
